Clay Resist Kit

Clay Resist Kit

Clay resist is a process where you create a clay paste which you can apply to fabric or garment and it acts as a resist to the dye. But unlike similar processes like batik, there is no hot or messy wax to deal with, and when you’re finished dyeing, you simply rinse the clay paste off with water.

Uniquely formulated to work with indigo only, this kit is best purchased alongside the indigo kit. The paste can be applied freehand, with stencils, blocks and more, and can be used on fabric, garments and home goods. Complete with detailed instructions aimed for absolute beginners. Packaged in a sturdy, recyclable kraft paper box which has been silk screened by hand.

Details:

  • Ingredients: calcium bentonite clay, gum arabic, magnesium sulphate (epsom salts)
  • Box size: 6" x 3" x 2"
  • 100% Plant based
  • Made in Canada

Handmade with love by Julie and her small team in Toronto, Canada.
